Mr. Smith is the General Counsel of Hunter Point Capital.

Prior to joining HPC, Mr. Smith served as General Counsel and Corporate Secretary at PineBridge Investments. Mr. Smith joined PineBridge Investments in 2014 as Deputy General Counsel for PineBridge’s Alternatives platform, where he led the legal function for the firm’s private equity, private credit, and secondaries investment strategies. Following the acquisition of PineBridge Investments by MetLife, Inc., Mr. Smith was appointed Chief Counsel for MetLife Investment Management.

Prior to joining PineBridge, Mr. Smith served as General Counsel of an India-focused real estate and private equity fund manager, where he advised on fund formation, investments, financings, regulatory matters, and cross-border transactions.

Mr. Smith began his career in the corporate practice at Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP.

Mr. Smith earned his B.A. from the University of Michigan and his J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School.
