Hunter Point Capital ("HPC"), a leading independent investment firm providing capital solutions to alternative asset managers, today announced that Phillip Titolo, CFA is joining the Firm as a Managing Director and Head of Insurance Solutions, effective January 29, 2024.

In this role, Mr. Titolo will be responsible for helping HPC and the Firm’s GP partners build strategic relationships with the insurance community. This will include structuring capital-efficient vehicles and investments for insurers through HPC’s recently launched GP Financing Solutions (“GPFS”) platform, which offers NAV-based loans and preferred financing solutions to established investment managers. Prior to joining HPC, Mr. Titolo spent nearly a decade at MassMutual, where in 2017 he founded the company’s Direct Private Investments business. Growing the business to $26 billion, he led a team that originated capital-efficient, investment-grade portfolio loans and minority GP equity investments for the MassMutual general account.

“Phillip adds valuable insurance-specific expertise to the Hunter Point Capital team and brings an established track record of sourcing and structuring successful partnerships between investment firms and insurance companies,” said Avi Kalichstein, Co-Founder and CEO of Hunter Point Capital. “His skill set and perspective broaden the range of capabilities we can offer to sponsors that need tailored, flexible, and innovative capital solutions.”

“HPC’s differentiated model of building customized strategic partnerships places it in a unique position to identify and capitalize on opportunities that can benefit both GPs and insurers,” said Mr. Titolo. “I look forward to collaborating with HPC’s team of industry leaders to meet the evolving needs of GPs globally.”
