Ms. Richards previously served as a corporate partner at Kirkland & Ellis LLP advising private equity clients. Ms. Richards’ practice focused on representing private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies in a broad range of U.S. and cross-border corporate transactions, including the structuring and negotiation of complex and high-stakes mergers, acquisitions and divestitures, leveraged buyouts, growth equity investments and equity and debt financings, executive compensation and incentive equity arrangements, restructurings and recapitalizations, and various other governance, corporate and securities matters. She has broad experience advising alternative asset management clients, including private equity firms, asset managers, and family offices. Her experience with those clients spans a variety of industries, including software, technology, manufacturing, aviation, automotive, retail, healthcare, specialty chemicals and food and beverage distribution. Ms. Richards began her career at Skadden, Arps, Slate Meagher & Flom in the firm’s corporate practice, with a focus on public company corporate and transactional matters.
Ms. Richards earned her B.A. from Northeastern University and her JD from the University of Michigan Law School.
